King Mackerel.. one of the most common of our game fish.  Most are in the 20 pound range with a few going over 30 pounds.

Apr. 17, 2007. The weather and ocean currents are really messing with our normal outings. Earlier last week we had a day with a limit of kingfish, and three Wahoo each around 40 lbs. Two days later the gulf stream pushed out 10 miles and the currents picked up which really had fishing tough. Yesterday we found a pod of kings and caught our limit and bottom fished for big sea bass, sharks and snappers. All the action was in 75' of water. The weather has moved in which has caused the ocean to be off limits to boats and it looks like it will be here a couple of days. Hopefully, things will get straight and we can get back out for good fishing. Capt. JJ

Jan. 11, 2007,  We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a fun new year. The weather has been a bit sloppy as of late but we have been out on some 1/2 day trips. There has been tons of short snapper biting with the occaisonal keeper as well as a good catch of sea bass and triggers. There are still some kingfish around on the 8 hour grounds but I don't expect them to hold up too much longer. When the water gets cold and dirty the kingfish leave the area and have to spend most days bottom fishing. Looking forward to seeing you in the deep. Remember, Dolphin season is just a few short months away so don't wait too late to book. See ya JJ
